MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102925 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'robotic pollination system controlled by environmental artificial intelligence (rpce).'
Inventor(s) include Rakesh Gagneja; and Tiyas Sarkar.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A Robotic Pollination System Controlled by Environmental Artificial Intelligence (100) is disclosed. The system integrates an AI control module (102), environmental sensors (104), camera modules (106), and precision pollen actuators (108) to perform autonomous, adaptive pollination in real time. The AI module (102) continuously analyzes environmental data such as temperature, humidity, and wind, together with visual inputs, to determine optimal pollination timing, target flowers at the right blooming stage, and adjust pollen delivery parameters. The system (100) executes a closed feedback loop for verification, ensuring precision and minimizing wastage. It supports scalable applications in greenhouses, orchards, and open fields, and multiple units can coordinate as a swarm for extensive coverage. The invention improves crop yield, efficiency, and sustainability through intelligent, environmentally responsive pollination automation."
