MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641049401 A) filed by J. J. College Of Engineering And Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, on April 17, for 'road-cleaning apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The utility model presents a step-shaped road cleaning device featuring a bracket with cleaning wheels on each step. A driving shaft powers the wheels, enabling them to rotate uniformly. As the device moves forward, the wheels sequentially sweep debris from one side to the next, ultimately pushing waste to the roadside for easy collection. This design enhances cleaning efficiency by ensuring systematic and directional waste removal."
