MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511121583 A) filed by Aditya Kumar Ojha, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 4, 2025, for 'river channel dredging method.'
Inventor(s) include Aditya Kumar Ojha.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method for dredging a side walls of a river to form a stabilized slope for flood control and river bank construction. The method involves positioning a dredging apparatus adjacent to the side walls to perform dredging. Thereafter, a target excavation profile is determined having a predetermined slope ratio of 1:5 of the side walls. Further, dredging operation is performed by removing sediment material from the side walls in successive passes from an upper elevation to a lower elevation based on the determined target excavation profile. Then, the predetermined slope ratio of the side walls is maintained while performing the dredging operations utilizing a slope measurement system. Also the predetermined slope ratio in the side walls is maintained by adjusting the dredging apparatus position. Finally, the dredged side walls surface is stabilized to control flooding and providing foundation support for the river bank construction."
