MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411075729 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Oct. 7, 2024, for 'rfid based authentication system.'

Further, the system comprises wearable unit (102) having a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag. Further, a RFID reader (108) RFID reader (108) is configured to scan the RFID tag when the wearable unit is positioned in proximity to the RFID reader (108). Further, 10 at least one processor (104) configured to fetch data encoded within the RFID tag, send an authentication request to an authentication database stored within the memory (106), compare the fetched data with the identification database associated with the facility, determine an authentication status of the user, based at least on comparison. Further, a feedback module (110) is configured to provide a visual 15 indication associated with the authentication status. Further, an alarming module (112) is configured to generate an alarming sound to alert a concerned person(s) when the authentication fails."
