MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090491 A) filed by Benninghoven Zweigniederlassung Der Wirtgen Mineral Technologies Gmbh, Wittlich, Germany, on Sept. 22, for 'retrofit system for providing heated reclaimed asphalt granulate, and plant for producing asphalt using such a retrofit system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a retrofit system for providing heated reclaimed asphalt granulate, said system comprising: a reclaimed asphalt drying drum (16) having a reclaimed asphalt feed opening (18), a reclaimed asphalt discharge opening (19), a hot gas feed opening (21) for feeding hot gas into the reclaimed asphalt drying drum (16), and an exhaust gas discharge opening (22) for discharging exhaust gas from the reclaimed asphalt drying drum (16); a hot gas generator (27) having a cold gas feed opening (29), a hot gas discharge opening (30), and a heat source (32), the hot gas generator (27) being connected to the hot gas feed opening (21) by a hot gas line (31); an exhaust gas extraction unit (23), connected to the reclaimed asphalt drying drum (16), for extracting exhaust gas, the exhaust gas extraction unit (23) having a housing (24), a return line (26) which is connected to the housing (24) and is connected to the cold gas feed opening (29) of the hot gas generator (27) in order to return exhaust gas, a fan (28) arranged along the return line (26), and an exhaust air line (25) which is connected to the housing (24) and can be connected to a filter system (12); and a control unit (33) which is designed to discharge reclaimed asphalt granulate at a variably definable target temperature at the reclaimed asphalt discharge opening (19), the control unit (33) having a signal connection to the reclaimed asphalt drying drum (16), to the hot gas generator (27), and to the exhaust gas extraction unit (23)."
