MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541121544 A) filed by Nandha Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 4, 2025, for 'resume shortlisting using nlp for improved recruitment efficiency.'
Inventor(s) include A Satheesh Kumar; S Shriram; G Sri Vignesh; and N Surendar.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The growing influx of job applications has made manual resume screening an increasingly inefficient and error prone task for recruiters. To overcome these challenges, this paper introduces an automated resume shortlisting framework powered by Natural Language Processing (NLP). The system leverages React js, Node.js and Flask to develop a responsive, scalable and user friendly recruitment platform that facilitates real time candidate filtering and ranking. By integrating Al based evaluation with cloud technologies, the proposed model enhances processing speed, accuracy and overall user experience for HR professionals. Furthermore, the framework incorporates modules for job recommendation and resume optimization that utilize NLP for semantic interpretation, skill extraction and candidate profiling. The combination of full stack technologies and intelligent backend APIs ensures dynamic data management and continuous system updates. Experimental analysis shows that the NLP enhanced platform significantly reduces screening time while improving candidate shortlisting accuracy, demonstrating its potential as an advanced HR technology solution."
