MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025522 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'residual paint squeezing device for paint brush.'

Inventor(s) include Sukhmani Sandhu; Shailee Thakur; and Anmol.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A residual paint squeezing device for paint brush, a cylindrical body 1 positioned on a fixed surface and installed with a C-shaped expandable member 2 for accommodating a handle of a paint brush, a microphone 3 is positioned on body 1 for enabling a user to give voice commands for cleaning bristles of the paint brush, a drawer arrangement 4 integrated within member 2 for increasing dimensions of member 2 to grip handle in a secured manner, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 mounted in body 1 to detect thickness of bristles of brush, a pair of telescopically operated links 6 installed with inner side walls of body 1 to extend for positioning a pair of flaps attached with links 6, a pair of motorized sliders 7 configured between links 6 and inner walls for translating links to squeeze residual paint from bristles."
