MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011280 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'rescue device for emergency situations.'

Inventor(s) include Rahul Sharma; and Himansh Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rescue device for emergency situations, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a first end of a water body to be crossed by individuals, a push- button 2 is crafted on platform 1 that is activated by individuals, a camera 3 detecting width of water body, on the basis of detected width, the microcontroller extend rods 4 equipped with a hollow cylindrical inflatable member 5 for positioning a free end of rods 4, on determining the extension of rods 4, the microcontroller actuates bars 7 to extend, followed by actuation of DC (Direct Current) motor for drilling pins 6 within ground surface at second end of water body, an air compressor 8 paired with member 5 actuated by microcontroller for inflating the member 5 for allowing the individuals to enter within the member 5 for crossing water body in a secured manner."
