MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024828 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'rescue assistive device for wrecked vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rescue assistive device for wrecked vehicle, comprises of an elongated frame 1 positioned in proximity to a wrecked vehicle and having a first and second portion, anchor plates 2 provides support to the frame 1, a C-shaped motorized expandable clamp 4 grips the top portion of a collapsed window pane of the vehicle, a user-interface enables a user to give input commands over the computing unit, a laser sensor detects the dimensions of the top portion of the window pane, an imaging unit 5 captures multiple images of the window pane, a motorize slider translates an L-shaped member 6, an L-shaped pneumatic pin 7 extend and engage in a pair of holes 8 carved on the frame 1, a blade 9 cuts window pane."
