MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517091049 A) filed by Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications Corp. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Sept. 23, for 'request information sending method and apparatus, device, and storage medium.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A request information sending method and apparatus, a device, and a storage medium, relating to the technical field of communications. The method comprises: sending first request information, which is used for requesting to share the channel occupancy time (COT) of at least one another terminal device (1110). A terminal device sends first request information to request to share COT of other terminal devices, so that the terminal device performs Type 2 channel access by means of the shared COT instead of performing Type 1 channel access, thereby avoiding a channel listening operation required for performing Type 1 channel access, and then reducing the power consumption of the terminal device."
