MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019733 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'repairing assistive device for wrist watches.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pramod Kumar; and Dr. Naresh Pratap.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A repairing assistive device for wrist watches comprises of a circular shaped platform 1 developed to be installed on a fixed surface, a weight sensor for detecting placement of watch, a pair of motorized clamps 4 for securing watch on plate 3, a multi-sectioned chamber 5 for storing multiple straps along with cells, an inlet 6 for enabling withdrawal or refilling of strap and/or cells inside chamber 5, an imaging unit 7 for determining damaging of watch's strap and/or discharging of watch's cell, a pneumatic pusher 8 to push strap and/or cells out of chamber 5, a multi-sectioned container 9 for storing various tools required for repairing watch, a microphone 10 accessed by user to input voice commands, an inverted L-shaped telescopic bar 11 to position a magnifying glass 12 in proximity to user that is accessed by user to closely watch delicate parts of watch while repairing watch."
