MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020090 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'reliable bathing assistive device for toddlers.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A reliable bathing assistive device for toddlers comprises of, a platform 1 developed to be arranged on a ground surface, a rectangular slot configured on the platform 1 for enabling a user to accommodate a toddler on the slot, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 mounted on the platform 1 to determine body dimensions of the toddler, a telescopically operated L-shaped bar 6 assembled on one end of the platform 1 to extend/retract for positioning a C-shaped clamp 3 in proximity to the toddler and multiple electronically controlled nozzles 4 installed on the platform 1 to dispense cleaning liquids such as shampoo and soap and water from a multi-sectioned chamber."
