MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411071500 A) filed by Innokan Technochem (OPC) Private Limited, Sonipat, Haryana, on Sept. 21, 2024, for 'release coating with thermoplastic acrylate resin.'
Inventor(s) include Vinee Gupta; Dhruv Kanodia; and Ruchi Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a release coat comprising acrylate-based resin. Particularly, the present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a release coat comprising thermoplastic acrylic coating. The composition comprising a solvent (A); and a monomer (B). It is a liquid Grade Thermoplastic Acrylic Coating is a high Tg acrylic resin coating capable of forming softer films. It is based on thermoplastic acrylic in solution form specially designed for soft embossing on polyester film which can be transferred to another surface. The coat is unique in release property and glass like transparency with high gloss. It is well suited for white and metallic aerosols, coatings for general product finishing, pigment dispersion (fluorescent) and flexographic printing inks."
