MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514090508 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 22, 2025, for 'refrigerator including door open module.'
Inventor(s) include Seongwon Gwon; Bohyeon Lee; Jinho Chang; and Hongshin Cho.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In a refrigerator according to the present invention, by allowing a plurality of gear racks of a rack-and-pinion assembly to be extended forward with different extension forces, a drawer assembly may be opened using only an amount of force necessary for each stage of opening the drawer assembly, thereby maximizing energy efficiency through efficient force distribution."
