Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Refrigerator Including Door Open Module' Filed by Lg Electronics Inc.

MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514090496 A) filed by Lg Electronics Inc., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 22, 2025, for 'refrigerator including door open module.'

Inventor(s) include Seongwon Gwon; Jinho Chang; Hongshin Cho; and Bohyeon Lee.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In a refrigerator according to the present invention, since the door open module disposed on the lower inner surface of the storage compartment can move the drawer assembly forward and rearward by pushing and pulling the drawer assembly disposed on the lower inner surface of the storage compartment, the drawer assembly can be pulled in or out without the gear rack or pinion gear of the door open module being directly fastened to the drawer assembly."
