MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611051606 A) filed by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Haryana, on April 22, for 'reflective information system.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Meenakshi Gupta; Dr. Shruti Vashisht; and Mr. Krishna Ahuja.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a reflective information system comprising a housing, a two-way reflective mirror element arranged as a user-facing reflective surface, a display unit disposed behind the two-way reflective mirror element, and an embedded computing unit operatively connected to the display unit. The embedded computing unit acquires real-time external data through an Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity arrangement, processes contextual data and user-related data through an Artificial Intelligence (AI) processing arrangement, selects display content based on such data, and causes the display content to be rendered through the two-way reflective mirror element while reflective functionality is retained. The system may further support context-based prioritization, continuous data updating, compartmentalized housing architecture, light control, thermal handling, sensor alignment, and serviceable internal component arrangement."
