MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641061529 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on May 14, for 'recycled plastic-sawdust composite roof sheet manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. K. Poongodi; Muske Abhiram; Gopichand Botla; and Dr. P. Murthi.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A recycled plastic-sawdust composite roof sheet manufacturing device, comprising a housing 101, a hopper 102 for feeding of plastic waste material, a shutter 103 for facilitating a flow of plastic waste material, a pair of shredding rollers 105 to shred plastic waste, an electronic valve 107 to dispense plastic flakes, a pair of articulated arms 109 to retrieve washed plastic flakes, a plurality of heating units 111 to dry flakes, an iris lid 112 to release dried plastic flakes within a storage unit, an electronic spout 113 to dispense sawdust into storage unit, an electronic nozzle 116 to dispense molten composite mixture over a mould plate 117, a L-shaped hydraulic press 118 to compress composite to form a roof sheet profile, an articulated pole 120 to lift a demoulded sheet from mould plate 117, an articulated linkage 133 to retrieve sheet from curing unit and places within a tray 124."
