MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020376 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'recreational locomotion device for a child.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Tapas Kumar Mohapatra.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A recreational locomotion device for a child, comprising a frame 101 having a telescopic rod 102 having a motorized wheel 103 at a bottom end and a pair of C-shaped telescopic bars 104, bottom ends of bars 104 provided with motorized wheels 103 for locomotion of frame 101, a cushioned seat 105 for a sitting of child, holes 106 are embedded within seat 105, a pair of belts 107 for strapping of child for safety, an angled portion 108 provided at a top end of rod 102 enabling user to acquire a grip onto frame 101, an imaging unit 109 for recording images in a vicinity of rod 102 to determine an obstacle in front of frame 101 and a speaker generate an audio alert for user regarding availing medical attention if detected hear rate and blood pressure are outside predetermined heart rate and blood pressure ranges."
