MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647041764 A) filed by Canon Kabushiki Kaisha, Tokyo, on April 1, for 'recording device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This recording device includes: a storage cassette on which a recording medium is loaded; a conveyance means for conveying the recording medium to a recording head; a carriage on which the recording head is mounted; and a driving means for moving the carriage. The storage cassette is attachable to and detachable from a front surface of a main body of the recording device with respect to the main body in a front-rear direction of the recording device. The conveyance means conveys the recording medium from a front side to a rear side in the front-rear direction. The driving means moves the carriage in a direction intersecting the front-rear direction, and is disposed on the rear side with respect to the recording head in the front-rear direction."
