MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611051942 A) filed by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Haryana, on April 23, for 'rebar cage tying and roof mapping device.'

Inventor(s) include Ekaksh Jeena; and Dr. Pooja Sachdeva.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rebar cage tying and roof mapping device, comprising a housing 101 open at a bottom portion to access rebar intersections during operation, at least four rubberized tire wheels 102 to enable the housing 101 to traverse the rebar cage without damaging or disturbing an existing structure, a spool 104 to receive a coil of tying wire, a pair of motorized rollers 105 to move closer or farther apart to accommodate different wire diameters, at least one infrared (IR) sensor to measure wire diameter and provide feedback for adjusting roller 105 spacing and alignment, a U shaped bending die 108 assembly to shape straight wire into a U form, at least two bending roller feeders 111 to push wire around the fixed bending die 108 to form the U shape, and a camera 116 to scan a rebar cage pattern below the housing 101."
