MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311086338 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on Dec. 18, 2023, for 'rear frame structure of a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Prasoon, Mayank; and Srivathsa, Advaith.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The rear frame member (122) comprising a left grip element (124), a right grip element (228), and a cover portion (242) connecting them. The cover portion (242) 5 has a chamber (250) to house a latch (252) and a pin (402) of the seat (108). The rear frame member (122) also comprises a rear cross element (310). The left grip element (124), the right grip element (228), and the rear cross element (310) define at least channels [(XX), (YY), (ZZ)] with the cover portion (242) that form a seat receiving portion (308) to receive at least portion of the seat (108), more specifically 10 a peripheral edge (108C) of the seat (108) in its closed state. The channels [(XX), (YY), (ZZ)] form a continuous V-profile seat receiving portion (308) with smooth bends."
