MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311086688 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on Dec. 18, 2023, for 'rear frame structure of a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Prasoon, Mayank; and Srivathsa, Advaith.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The vehicle (100) has a rear frame member (122) that connects the left and right seat rail members (120A, 120B) in the rear portion (102B) of the vehicle (100). The rear frame member (122) has a left grip element (124), a right grip element (228), and a cover portion (242). The cover portion (242) includes a chamber (250) extending downwardly from a centre portion (248) of the cover portion (242) to house the latch (252) of the seat member (108) and to receive a pin (402) of the seat member (108) during a closable state. The cover portion (242) partially connects the left grip element (124) with the right grip element (228) and partially covers an interspace (404, 406, 408) formed between the rear frame member (122) and the seat member (108) upon securing the seat member (108) over the rear frame member (122) in the closable state."
