MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641009331 A) filed by KKR & KSR Institute of Technology and Sciences, Vatticherukuru, Andhra Pradesh, on Jan. 29, for 'real-time reservoir water-level detection and overflow prevention system with mobile alerts using iot.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. P Madhu Babu; Mr. N. Chaitanya; Mr. P. Venkata Gopi Krishna; Mr. Sk. Nazeer; and Mr. P. Chaitanya Datta.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The Real-Time Reservoir Water-Level Detection and Overflow Prevention System is an IoT-based solution designed to monitor water levels in storage tanks and prevent overflow-related water wastage. The system uses an ultrasonic distance sensor to measure the water level continuously and an ESP8266 microcontroller with built-in Wi-Fi to process and transmit the data. When predefined upper or lower threshold levels are reached, the system automatically controls the water pump using a relay mechanism. In addition, real-time alerts and water-level information are delivered to a mobile application, enabling users to monitor and manage water usage remotely. This system improves water conservation, reduces electricity consumption, and eliminates manual supervision of water tanks."
