MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641099128 A) filed by Indravarman M on August 17, 2026, for "real Time Monitoring Of Smart Pill Dispenser Using Embedded Iot".
Inventors include Indravarman M; Sanjay Bal C; Agileshwaran R; and Sunil M P.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: Healthcare advancements have consistently outpaced the supporting technologies needed for effective medication management. Traditional approaches—relying heavily on manual dispensing and written schedules frequently result in missed doses, dosage errors, and the absence of any real- 10 time health oversight. The present invention develops an IoT-driven smart pill dispenser designed specifically to address these shortcomings. The system uses an embedded microcontroller to automatically dispense the correct dosage at pre-set times, drastically cutting down on human error. Biometric fingerprint authentication is included to ensure that only authorized individuals can access the device. Health monitoring sensors are embedded within the system to track vital signs including heart rate, ECG activity, fall events, and blood oxygen saturation in real-time. Validated through Proteus simulation software, the proposed system demonstrates strong potential for improving patient safety, medication compliance, and overall healthcare delivery.
