MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115412 A) filed by IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'real-time iot-cloud integrated vehicle number plate recognition system and method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. Bittu Kumar Aman; Mr. Abhishek Chaudhary; and Dr. Ajay Kumar Sahu.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a system (100) for recognizing number plate in real time, the system (100) comprising: an ESP32-CAM module (102) configured to capture real-time images of vehicle license plates; an OLED display (104); and a cloud-processing unit (106) configured to receive the images such that the cloud-processing unit (106) is configured to process the images using Python-based open CV and Easy OCR libraries to extract license plate characters and the recognized text is displayed on the OLED screen."
