MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123870 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on Dec. 9, 2025, for 'real-time embedded edge-ai device for emd-based solar radiation prediction.'

Inventor(s) include B Naresh; and Dr. Amit Kumar Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a real-time embedded edge-AI device for solar radiation prediction using empirical mode decomposition and quantized deep learning inference. The device integrates a solar radiation sensor, signal acquisition unit, preprocessing module, hardware-accelerated EMD engine, IMF selection module, feature extraction module, and a low-power deep learning inference engine within an embedded system architecture. The system operates entirely offline using FPGA, ASIC, or neural processing unit accelerators to enable fast intrinsic mode extraction and low-latency neural prediction. The invention achieves high prediction accuracy under nonlinear and noisy environmental conditions while minimizing power consumption and network dependence. The proposed device is particularly suitable for photovoltaic systems, smart grids, microgrids, and remote environmental monitoring applications where reliable real-time solar radiation forecasting is critical."
