MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541126539 A) filed by RV College Of Engineering, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Dec. 14, 2025, for 'real-time deep learning based intelligent inspection system and method for textile manufacturing processes.'

Inventor(s) include Veenadevi S V; Sowmya Nag K; Nagaprasad Naik; Sagar Tarasing Nayak; and Ravish Aradhya H V.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Real-Time Deep Learning Based Intelligent Inspection System and 5 Method for Textile Manufacturing Processes A real-time deep learning based intelligent inspection system (100) and method (400) for textile manufacturing processes is provided. The system (100) includes one or more high-resolution industrial cameras (102A-102C), a training and testing module (104), and a processor (106). The 10 cameras (102A-102C) continuously capture test images across the spinning, the weaving, and the fabrication processes. The training and testing module (104) is configured to preprocess the image data set for noise reduction, contrast enhancement, normalization, and region-of-interest extraction to optimize the image data set for analysis. The training and testing module (104) is configured to feed the preprocessed image data sets to an AI-based defect detection and classification module to 15 accurately identify and classify various defects. Processor (106) is configured to trigger appropriate control actions. The appropriate control actions include alerting operators, marking defective regions, or adjusting machine parameters through PLC."
