MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117016 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'raw produce cleaning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A raw produce cleaning device comprising a container 101 configured to hold water and produce for cleaning, a rotatable strainer basket 102 allowing drainage of water and debris, a dual-mode agitation assembly 104 providing centrifugal spinning and side-to-side agitation, a rotatable brushing unit 107 within the basket 102 for surface scrubbing, a mechanical pump unit 108 pressurizing water for hydrodynamic jet cleaning, multiple water jet nozzles 109 distributed along inner sidewalls for pressurized water streams, an adaptive compression unit with spring- loaded actuators 111 applying gentle pressure on produce, an ultrasonic transducer 112 generating high-frequency waves for deep cleaning, microbial and electrochemical biosensors detecting contaminants, a micro- blower 114 delivering warm air for drying, a speaker 113 to notify the user regarding detected contaminants, and suction cups 116 securing the container 101 on surface."
