MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007463 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'railway track patrolling device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A railway track patrolling device comprises of a bicycle having a frame 1, handle 2, seat 3, wheels 4, characterized in that a pair of L-shaped extendable members 5 equipped with a pair of primary grooved wheels 6 to position on a first rail of the railway track in a manner to vertically align the wheels 6 over the first rail, a camera 7 for capturing multiple images of surroundings, a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated bars 8 connected with a pair of secondary grooved wheels 9 for positioning the secondary grooved wheels 9 on the second rail for providing support to the bicycle, a wind sensor to detect wind speed in the surroundings, a curved-shaped transparent unit 11 for preventing any discomfort to the user due to the wind and allow to do patrolling in appropriate manner."
