MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611002011 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Jan. 8, for 'railsafe dynamic: hydraulic system for passenger accident and cut prevention.'

Inventor(s) include Vikas Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to RailSafe Dynamic system (100), an automated railway safety system designed to prevent passenger accidents caused by the gap between train coaches and station platforms. The system (100) includes a foldable perforated slab (102) actuated by a hydraulic pump and cylinder assembly (104), a control unit (106), and a speed sensor (108). The slab (102) automatically deploys during train stoppage and retracts upon departure, supporting weights up to 120 kg. Hydraulic fluid pipelines (110) and power supply lines (112) integrate with existing train systems. The system (100) ensures fail-safe operation under environmental extremes, rapid response, and minimal maintenance, providing a cost-effective, reliable, and energy-efficient solution for passenger safety."
