MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517075344 A) filed by Nec Corporation, Tokyo, on Aug. 7, for 'radio terminal, radio access network node, and methods for same.'

Inventor(s) include Futaki Hisashi.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This radio terminal receives a first message including configuration information for a conditional handover. After additionally receiving a first signal relating to low activity of a source cell of the conditional handover, following reception of the first message, the radio terminal executes the conditional handover on the condition that a first threshold time period has expired. This contributes, for example, to improved triggering of conditional handover execution."
