MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020154 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'rack guard installation assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Arun Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rack guard installation assistive device, comprises of an elongated telescopically operated frame 1 having a first and second portion, the first portion is installed with a bar 5 attached with a C-shaped member 6 and second portion is attached with a handle 2 to be gripped by the user for holding the frame 1 in proximity to a rack, an imaging unit 10 for capturing and processing multiple images of the surrounding, a laser projection unit 4 for projecting a laser beam to guide the user in appropriately holding the handle 2, a pneumatic actuator installed to extend/retract the actuator for increasing size of the member 6, a speaker to notify the user to grip a rack-guard in between the member 6 and manually secure the rack guard on desired rack, and a hammering unit 8 provide forceful hitting movement on the rack guard."
