MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641051546 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on April 22, for 'quantum noise injection system for electromagnetic side-channel protection in scada devices.'

Inventor(s) include Jayashree; Aryan Hundia; Shlok Kumar Goenka; and Dr. Vijayashree J.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A quantum noise injection system (100) for electromagnetic emission masking is disclosed. The system comprises an electromagnetic sensing zone (102) including a near-field probe array (101), an analogue-to-digital signal conditioning module (102), and a spectral profiling module (103) configured to capture and analyse electromagnetic emissions. A quantum random number generation zone (104) includes a photon-based quantum entropy source (201), an entropy extraction module (202), and a bit-stream buffer (203) configured to generate conditioned entropy. A control and injection zone (106) includes a noise synthesiser (301), an injection circuit (302), and a closed-loop monitor (303) configured to generate a spectrally matched noise signal, inject the noise signal, and regulate injection. A leakage attestation and audit log module (404) records system parameters."
