MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411046080 A) filed by Synergy Quantum Indian Private Limited, New Delhi, on June 14, 2024, for 'quantum communication fortification: a hybrid authentication protocol & system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Gautam Shaw; Mr. Jaswinder Singh Oberai; and Dr. Vipin K Rathi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a secure hybrid authentication method and system for quantum communication fortification in a network using post quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution mechanisms. A central server (300) performs a first layer authentication using post-quantum cryptography mechanism and a second layer authentication using post quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution mechanisms for generating a secure quantum key. The first client (100) and the second client (200) uses the secure quantum key for secure communication."
