MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621013351 A) filed by Gokul Global University, Patan, Gujarat, on Feb. 6, for 'pvc pipe shaping device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A PVC pipe shaping device, comprises of a housing 101 for accommodating internal components, an articulated arm 102 grip a PVC pipe from a storage chamber 103 in a sequential manner, an imaging unit 104 detect dimension of the pipes, a set of adjustable conduits 105 mounted on a storage container 106 discharging pipes, a cutting unit 109 cut PVC pipes into predefined lengths specified by a user via a connected input means into a vessel 110 installed within the housing 101, a plurality of adjustable clamping units 111 mounted on extendable rods 112, each clamping unit configured to grip, align, and transfer PVC pipes, a bending assembly provided within the housing 101 for heating, bending and subsequently cooling the PVC pipe that are further stored in a box 116 installed within the housing 101."
