MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202427098217 A) filed by Clariant International Ltd., Muttenz, Switzerland, on Dec. 12, 2024, for 'ptfe-reduced structuring agent for powder paints.'
Inventor(s) include Wundlechner, Milena; Bodendorfer, Simon; Schwabe, Jeremia; Reiner, Dorina; and Spar, Siegfried.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a PTFE-reduced or PTFE-free composition that can be added to powder paint formulations in order to increase the roughness/structure of a powder paint. The invention further relates to a method for producing a composition of this kind. The invention also relates to a PTFE-reduced or PTFE-free powder paint with improved structuring properties, and to a method for producing such a powder paint."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 19, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/051287.
