MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105066 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'protective sleeve application assistive device for metallic pipe.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Surendra Yadav.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A protective sleeve application assistive device for metallic pipe, comprising of an elongated body 101 having a handle 102 to gripped by a user to position the body 101 in proximity of a metallic pipe over which a protective sleeve is to be applied, a display panel 103 to give input commands for application of the sleeve with the pipe, an imaging unit 104 to detect presence and dimension of the pipe, a clamp 105 grip the pipe, a rod 106 equipped with a grinding wheel 107 to extend, to grind unevenness surface of the pipe, a gripper 108 to grip holding strip of the sleeve, a holographic projection unit 109 to project a 3D visuals depicting maintaining proper angle of the pipe, a slider 110 to translate the gripper 108 to wipe out the strip from the sleeve."
