MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517060985 A) filed by Alpinestars Research S. P. A., Maser, Italy, on June 26, for 'protective helmet.'
Inventor(s) include Mazzarolo, Giovanni; Parissenti, Roberto; and Agostinetto, Stefano.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a protective helmet (1) comprising an outer shell (2) and a visor (3), rotatably coupled at lateral sides (4) of the outer shell (2) so as to project above a front opening (6) of the outer shell (2). The protective helmet (1) further comprises an adjusting mechanism (10) provided at a front part (5) of the outer shell (2) for adjusting the visor (3) in different positions with respect to the front part (5) of the outer shell (2). The adjusting mechanism (10) comprises a locking device (12). According to the invention, the adjusting mechanism (10) comprises a bridging element (16) having a first portion (18), removably attached to the front part (5) of the outer shell (2), and a second portion (20), supporting the locking device (12). The locking device (12) is suitable for engaging a slot (14) of the visor (3) in different positions and for being fastened to the second portion (20) of the bridging element (16)."
