MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117036 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 25, 2025, for 'protective foot resting assistive device for moped vehicles.'

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A protective foot resting assistive device for moped vehicles, comprising, a frame 101 with multiple suction units 110, an input means paired with the frame 101, an inbuilt microcontroller, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 102 mounted on the frame 101, a pair of plates 103 installed on the frame 101 via a motorized sliding unit 104 and an extendable bar 105, a motorized hinge joint integrated in between the plate and bar 105, one or more sensing module including a proximity sensor and an accelerometer, installed on the frame 101, multiple inflatable members 106 arranged on the frame 101, linked with an inflating unit, for inflating air into the members, layered pads 107 arranged along outer periphery of each of the plate, each filled with MR (magnetorheological) fluid, and an electromagnet, a GPS (Global Positioning System) module integrated with the microcontroller for tracking real-time location of the frame 101."
