MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517089149 A) filed by Trumer Schutzbauten Ges. M. B. H., Oberndorf, Austria, on Sept. 18, for 'protective barrier and method for determining the suitability of a net for catching a moving object.'

Inventor(s) include Volkwein Axel.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Protective barrier for catching a moving object, comprising a net, a supporting structure (6); wherein the supporting structure (6) tensions and fastens the net (2), and wherein the net (2) has at least a first cable (90) and a second cable (91) with a respective thickness, wherein the net (2) is knotted by the first cable (90) and the second cable (91) and the net (2) comprises at least one knotting point (7), wherein the knotting point (7) has a thickness and the thickness of the knotting point (7) corresponds to at most twice the thickness of the first cable (90) or to twice the thickness of the second cable (91), wherein the first cable (90) and the second cable (91) comprise polyethylene and the tensioned net has an energy weight class of 500 kJ/(kg/m2) or more."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 08, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/053243.
