MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044776 A) filed by Omega Ophthalmics Llc, Kentucky, U.S.A., on May 8, for 'prosthetic capsular devices systems and methods.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The embodiments herein generally relate to systems methods and devices including prosthetic capsular devices configured to be inserted in a natural capsular bag of an eye the prosthetic capsular device comprising: a housing structure comprising an anterior portion and a posterior portion an interior cavity a groove formed along the circumference of the interior cavity and a drug delivery device having a ring or an arc configuration wherein the drug delivery device is held in place within the groove within the interior cavity of the housing structure."
