MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123904 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 9, 2025, for 'prodent wrist-chairside endodontic wrist device.'

It integrates a storage compartment for rotary and hand files, an instrument length measurement scale (up to 35 mm), a cotton holder platform with cotton pad soaked in NaOCl for wiping and cleaning files during procedures, and a mechanical stopwatch timer Tor procedural tracking. The wrist-wom configuration ensures accessibility, reduces chairside clutter, and minimizes the risk of cross-contamination by keeping essential tools within immediate reach of the operator. The device is compact, robust, and adaptable for various clinical settings, offering a novel solution to enhance workflow and safety in endodontics."
