Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Processing A Multi-Layer Video Stream' Filed by V-Nova International Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517097876 A) filed by V-Nova International Ltd., London, on Oct. 10, for 'processing a multi-layer video stream.'

Inventor(s) include Ciccarelli, Lorenzo.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method comprising: adding an enhancement sample entry (807, 907) to a sample description (803, 903) contained in a media data (800) such that: a legacy player is configured to playback base data associated with a base sample entry in said sample description; and an enhanced player is configured to playback enhancement data associated with said enhancement sample entry and base data associated with said base sample entry."
