MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202637045179 A) filed by Magnum Ip Holdings B. V., Amsterdam, on April 8, for 'process of recovering frozen confection components.'

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A process of recovering ingredients of a frozen confection item, the recovered ingredients being used in the manufacture of a subsequent frozen confection item, wherein the frozen confection item comprises a first phase of frozen aerated confection, and a second phase of solid fat-based confection, the process comprising the steps of a) processing the frozen confection so that the first phase becomes flowable, but wherein the second phase remains solid; followed by b) sieving the processed frozen confection, such that the first phase passes through the sieve and the second phase does not pass through the sieve; followed by c) recovering the first phase and/or the second phase; followed by d) manufacturing a subsequent frozen confection item from ingredients that include at least a portion of the recovered first phase and/or second phase."
