MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411070541 A) filed by Morepen Laboratories Limited, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, on Sept. 18, 2024, for 'process for the purification of finerenone.'
Inventor(s) include Tanwar Madan Pal; Dharamvir; and Suri Sanjay.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an industrially advantageous process for the purification of finerenone. More specifically, the present invention encompasses a process for the purification of finerenone which substantially eliminates the potential impurities formed during the course of reaction, specifically removes/reduced the undesired enantiomer (R-isomer)."
