MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517072616 A) filed by Basf Se, Ludwigshafen Am Rhein, Germany, on July 30, for 'process for the production of superabsorbents.'
Inventor(s) include Schiller, Dieter; Souza, Ivanilton Dos Reis; Vieira Amorim, Helvio; and Da Silva Junior, Francisco Assis.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a process for producing superabsorbents, wherein a monomer solution M is cooled by a heat exchanger W, the neutralization is interrupted to clean the heat exchanger W, and the heat exchanger W is emptied, filled with water or an aqueous solution and blow-dried."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 20, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/086834.
