MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517067847 A) filed by Saltigo Gmbh, Leverkusen, Germany, on July 16, for 'process for the production of alkyl-pyridine n-oxides.'
Inventor(s) include Von Dem Bruch, Karsten; Grossmann, Andre; Lee, Michael; and Pillon, Roberto.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a process for producing alkyl-pyridine N-oxides of formula (I) from the corresponding unsubstituted 3-alkyl pyridines or the 5-alkyl pyridines of formula (II) correspondingly substituted in 2-position, in the presence of at least one oxidant, water, organic solvent and catalyst."
