MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514089049 A) filed by Minascent Technologies Gmbh, Leuna, Germany, on Sept. 18, 2025, for 'process for the production of 4-amino-5-methyl-(1h)-pyridin-2-one and derivatives.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an improved process for the production of 4-amino-5- methyl-(1H)-pyridin-2-one and derivatives, wherein 4-hydroxy-5-methyl-(1H)- pyridin-2-one is reacted under pressure with an ammonium salt without adding aqueous ammonia or feeding in gaseous ammonia to provide the target compounds in high yield and high purity."
