MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050793 A) filed by Oxolife, S. L., Barcelona, Spain, on May 27, for 'process for the preparation of tungsten (vi) salt hydrates.'

Inventor(s) include Arbat Bugie, Agnes; Torres Ferraz, Rosa; Bessa Bellmunt, Jordi; Tamayo Haro, Abel; and Canals Almazan, Ignacio.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a process for preparing tungsten (VI) salts hydrates, the process comprising (a) Preparing a tungsten (VI) salt in an alkaline aqueous solution; (b) Filtering the aqueous solution at a temperature at which the tungsten (VI) salt remains dissolved; (c) Precipitating the tungsten (VI) salt hydrate from the filtrate resulting from step (b); (d) Filtering; (e) Washing the resulting filter cake with a water-miscible solvent; and (f) Drying the washed cake under conditions that allow the removal of the water-miscible solvent. The resulting salts show a level of impurities and solvents so low that they are suitable in the fields of pharmacy, veterinary and dietary."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 08, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/081122.
