Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Process For The Preparation Of Synthetic Quartz Glass' Filed by Heraeus Quarzglas Gmbh & Co. Kg

MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202144058127 A) filed by Heraeus Quarzglas Gmbh & Co. Kg, Hanau, Germany, on Dec. 14, 2021, for 'process for the preparation of synthetic quartz glass.'

Inventor(s) include Thurer, Martin; Lehmann, Walter; and Trommer, Martin.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Described is a process for the production of synthetic fused silica in which the deposition surface is located for a period of at least 50% of the build-up time of the soot body at a burner distance in which the horizontally integrated luminous intensity of the flame of the burner used in the targetless state is still at least 2/3 of the maximum horizontally integrated luminous intensity of the flame."
